Guest Speaker

Vertis Grummert, Sales Representative & Measurement Training Specialist, JM Test Systems

Bio

Mr. Grummert is currently working for JM Test Systems and has over 40 years of natural gas measurement and industry experience.  Received an Associate Degree in Electrical Technology and held a NE Class A Journeyman Electricians license. Worked for various natural gas production, midstream and transmission companies throughout his career. Began as an electrician and instrument technician at Cominco American anhydrous ammonia plant, before getting into the natural gas industry. He then went on to work for several companies at various locations beginning with NGPL (Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America), KN Energy, Kinder Morgan, Enogex Inc., Tejas Gas (Intergen North America), Mustang Engineering L.P., Chesapeake Midstream/Access Midstream/Williams Energy and as an independent measurement consultant. He is an active member of the MWMS (Midwest Measurement Society), GPA Midstream and OCI (Oilfield Connections International).  He has and currently is presenting papers for the American School of Gas Measurement, the International School of Hydrocarbon Measurement and the MWMS.

His experiences include I/E technician, natural gas measurement technician, measurement specialist, measurement manager for both office and field personnel, pipeline construction inspector and independent consultant.  Additional duties included developing and facilitating measurement training programs, measurement procedures and standards along with auditing measurement facilities, natural gas laboratories and meter run fabrication facilities.
